Kapun Terms and Conditions of Use

Last updated: October 5, 2026

1. Acceptance and scope

These terms govern your use of the Kapun app and website (www.kapun.app), operated by Kapun, Inc., 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713, United States (“Kapun”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kapun.

2. What Kapun is and is not

Kapun is a platform that lets people find services, learn a trade, or offer what they know how to do, with people in their area. There are two roles, and the same person can hold both at once:

Kapun is only a technology intermediary. It does not provide the services or the lessons; it is not the employer, agent, partner, or representative of any Provider; and it is not a party to any agreement between a Requester and a Provider. Each Provider acts independently and is solely responsible for their services, their quality, their price, and their compliance with the law that applies to their activity.

3. Eligibility and accounts

4. How a request works

  1. The Requester describes, in their own words, what they need or want to learn.
  2. Kapun shows nearby recommendations and alternatives, with the price visible, based on what the Requester asked for and other factors such as proximity and trust signals. Recommendations contain no advertising or paid placement.
  3. The Requester sends a request and the Provider decides whether to confirm it. A request becomes an agreement only when the Provider confirms it.
  4. The parties settle the details in the app’s chat: schedule, place, scope, final price, or whether the lesson is free.

Recommendations, ratings, and trust signals are for guidance only. They are not a guarantee, certification, or endorsement by Kapun of any Provider.

5. Prices and payments

Each Provider sets their own price. The prices shown are the ones the Provider publishes, and they may be adjusted by mutual agreement in the chat before confirming.

Payment is agreed and made directly between the Requester and the Provider, by whatever means they choose. Kapun does not process payments, does not guarantee them, and does not take part in refunds or payment disputes.

Kapun currently charges no commission for using the service. If this changes, we will notify you in advance.

Each Provider is responsible for declaring and paying the taxes on their income, and for issuing any invoices or receipts required by applicable law.

6. Provider obligations

The Provider represents and warrants that:

Kapun does not systematically verify users’ identity, credentials, or background, unless a specific verification is expressly indicated. A badge or trust signal means only what the app expressly says it means.

Kapun does not provide legal, medical, financial, or any other kind of professional advice. Content and services offered by Providers are their sole responsibility.

7. Requester obligations

The Requester agrees to describe clearly what they need, to honor what was agreed, to treat the Provider with respect, to provide safe access to the place of service where applicable, and to pay the agreed price.

8. Safety and in-person meetings

Many services and lessons happen in person. Kapun does not control the places, the people, or the circumstances of those meetings. We recommend using the app’s chat to coordinate, not sharing unnecessary sensitive information, telling someone you trust about the meeting, and preferring public places when possible. If you feel in danger, contact your local authorities and report it in the app afterward.

9. User content

You are responsible for the content you publish (profile, photos, descriptions, messages, reviews). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, limited license to host, display, reproduce, and adapt that content in order to operate and improve Kapun, and to promote Kapun only when you approve it. You keep ownership of your content, and the license ends when you delete it or close your account, except for reasonable technical copies and content that other users have already shared.

Reviews must reflect real experiences. Publishing fake or paid reviews, or reviews meant to harm another user, is prohibited.

10. Prohibited conduct and services

You may not use Kapun to:

11. Moderation, reports, and suspension

You can report or block any user or content from the app or by writing to hello@kapun.app. We will review reports within a reasonable time.

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts, with or without prior notice, when we reasonably believe that these terms or the law are being violated, that there is a risk to other users or to the service, or when an authority requires it. Where possible, we will explain the reason, and you may ask for the decision to be reviewed by writing to hello@kapun.app.

12. Intellectual property

Kapun, its name, logo, design, software, and original content belong to Kapun, Inc. or its licensors. These terms grant you only a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app in accordance with them. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit our materials without written permission.

13. Service availability

We aim to keep Kapun running continuously, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and carry out maintenance without this giving rise to any right to compensation, except as mandatory law provides.

14. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the law, including consumers’ non-waivable rights and liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights you have as a consumer under the laws of your country.

15. Indemnification

You agree to hold Kapun harmless from third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms, your content, the services you provide, or your infringement of third-party rights or of the law, to the extent the law allows this clause.

16. Term and termination

You may stop using Kapun and delete your account at any time from the app. Requests already confirmed must be fulfilled or canceled in good faith with the other user. Clauses that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, liability, indemnification, governing law) remain in force after termination.

17. App stores

If you download the app from Google Play or the App Store, you also accept that store’s terms. The store is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or its maintenance, and has no obligation to provide support for it.

18. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will give you reasonable notice, of at least 15 days, when a change is material. If you keep using Kapun after the new version takes effect, you will be deemed to accept it. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

19. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any dispute will be resolved by arbitration in the State of Delaware, without prejudice to the rights that mandatory law grants consumers to go to the courts of their place of residence or to consumer protection agencies.

Before starting any proceeding, we invite you to write to us at hello@kapun.app so we can try to resolve the matter in good faith.

20. General provisions

If any clause is void or unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Not exercising a right does not mean waiving it. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Kapun about the use of the service. You may assign your rights only with our consent; we may assign ours to an entity that continues the service.
